Traditional Wedding Cakes With a Twist

Many brides and grooms believe “traditional” is the equivalent of “boring”, but that needn’t be the case. As a matter of fact, traditional wedding elements are still highly appreciated for a reason: they are timeless, and they are constantly adapted to the new trends.

Take the classic white wedding cake, for example. Classy and timeless, this cake can be adjusted to fit any type of wedding, and any type of couple. Here are some ideas to inspire you as well:

  •        Round and square. For a modern white cake that will look just as elegant in 2018 as it will 40 years from now, ask your confectioner to create a multiple-tier white cake covered in classic fondant. The twist? Ask for two square tiers (at the bottom) and three round tiers (towards the top). The combination will add so much charm to your wedding cake!
  •        Playfully white. A small, two-tier wedding cake can be instantly turned into a playful, sweet, and modern piece if you ask your confectioner to add sugar balls on the brims of each of the tiers. They will look absolutely adorable, especially when paired with a cute cake topper!
  •        Rivets of white. Ask your wedding cake designer to create icing rivets on your tall, tiered, white wedding cake. If you add a couple of small bouquets of blooms on the cake (at the bottom and on the brim of the bottom tier, for example), it will look ultra-beautiful and elegant. The rivets, the blooms, the height of the cake – everything about it will scream “refined elegance”!

Your Bridesmaids Don’t Have to Spend a Fortune on Their Dresses

You want your bridesmaids to look excellent on the Big Day – but more than anything, you want to make sure they feel really great. Of course, their attires should look good and they should be coordinated with the entire wedding style – but that doesn’t mean they have to spend a fortune on these dresses.

How much should they spend, more exactly? Here are some tips you might want to keep in mind:

  • Our advice is to be considerate with your bridesmaids’ financial needs. They usually spend a lot on the wedding and on the pre-wedding events as well – and the last thing you want is to lose friends on account of money. The more considerate you are, the happier they will be.
  • To make sure you don’t offend anyone and still offer everyone options that suit them, come up with three versions, from three different price ranges. Offer them something on the higher range of prices (such as a dress that costs more than $350), something that falls in the medium range (such as a dress that costs somewhere between $200 and $350) and something that’s inexpensive (such as a dress that costs between $100 and $200).
  • If you want to make your dress choice feel even more considerate, focus on designs your bridesmaids won’t wear just at your wedding. Choose something they can wear at other events as well! This way, they will not spend a lot of money on something they only wear once.

A Few Drops of Rain Won’t Ruin Your Big Day

For many brides, rain is one of the absolute worst things that could happen on their Big Day. When you look at this situation through pink-colored glasses, though, you will find that things are not as bad as they seem.

What is there to know about coping with rain on your wedding day? Here are some tips to keep in mind:

  • You cannot control it – so why stress over it? Summer, fall, winter or spring – rain could pop up as an uninvited guest at any point during the year. Take it as it is – this may actually be the only thing you cannot plan months in advance.
  • Be ready. Planning an outdoor event? Have a plan B in store, just in case rain decides to pour down on your guests. A wedding tent is a really great solution for outdoor weddings on a damp day – so make sure to have one prepared.
  • Make guests feel cozy. Rain has started? Make guests forget about it! Provide them with excellent foods, hot chocolate to warm up and a huge smile every time you see someone joining in on the dance floor – they will completely forget about the rain.
  • Make yourself feel great. Put on a pair of colored, fun wellington boots and take out your chic umbrella – it’s time to shoot some fun rainy wedding pictures! The right photographer can turn these into works of art, so don’t be afraid to have some real fun with this shooting!

Allow These 2018 Wedding Food Trends into Your Big Day

Wedding food trends come and go – but the experience you offer at your wedding will remain in your guests’ memories forever.

So, which of the 2018 wedding food trends are worth considering for the most amazing day of your life? We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.

  •        Flower-power. If you thought flowers would only make an appearance on wedding cakes, you were wrong. In 2018, dried and fresh flowers make their way into actual wedding foods – and oh, how stunning they look! Plus, when chosen the right way, these little natural beauties can also add an amazing taste as well!
  •        Black foods are welcome. You may not consider an all-black wedding menu – but incorporating naturally-dark foods is a really amazing idea if you want to add a touch of refinement, elegance, and uniqueness to your wedding food. Black beans, blackberries, blueberries, black rice – the list of options is pretty generous, so don’t be afraid to get creative with it!
  •       Herbal cocktails make an entrance. Want to serve a truly special signature cocktail at your wedding? Consider incorporating herbs in your special cocktail – not only will they add a really fresh flavor, but they will look quite impressive as well!
  •         Drip cakes are here to stay. If you don’t want to serve the traditional white tiered cake, you should definitely consider multiple, smaller drip cakes. They look absolutely fantastic and they can taste equally amazing – so you really have all the reasons to love them.

Your Out of Town Guests Will Be So Happy If You Do These Things!

Inviting out of town guests is a great thing to do if you want these people to be by your side on your Big Day. However, it comes with a certain kind of responsibility – especially if you know these people haven’t visited your wedding location before.

How to make your out of town guests feel really happy with your wedding day? We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.

  •      Arrange their transportation. A shuttle bus to take your guests to and from the airport, as well as to and from the wedding ceremony and reception – now, that’s something your guests will definitely appreciate! Moreover, you will also make sure they aren’t late for the wedding – so it’s a win-win situation, really.
  •      Offer them accommodation options. You are not obliged to pay for your out of town guests’ accommodation. However, you should do everything in your power to make this trip feel as smooth as possible for them. Offer them a list of accommodation options, so that they can choose whatever suits their style and budget.
  •      Welcome them with a pretty gift. A welcome bag or box can really put a smile on your guests’ faces! You don’t even have to go overboard with this: a basket filled with delicious local goodies (such as a special type of honey you can only find in that area) will definitely satisfy your out of town friends and relatives!

Have you found your wedding planner in Georgia? Come see what B.A. Bride Wedding and Event Planning can do for you and contact us as soon as possible! Let’s talk about your Big Day and the way we will make it happen in a smooth, stress-free way!

Why Plan a Daytime Wedding – and How?

Most weddings end late in the evening and even late at night. But what if we told you this “classic” wedding timeline can be adjusted into a daytime event as well?

Why plan a daytime wedding – and how to do it perfectly? We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.

  •        One of the main reasons to love a daytime wedding idea is that you will spend less than you would otherwise do with an evening event. Also, a daytime wedding gives you the rest of the day “off”, meaning you can spend it in true bliss with your loved one.
  •        In terms of food, alcohol and entertainment, daytime weddings are only slightly different than evening weddings. For instance, you could serve a brunch buffet or even a seated luncheon, all paired with light wines. And yes, you should definitely include entertainment, music, and games as well!
  •        Since you will most likely wrap your wedding before 4 pm, you should also make sure to wake up earlier (your ceremony will most likely start at 11 am). Also, you will most probably have to skip the cocktail hour as well – so talk to your photographer and schedule your photo session for another date or time (e.g. after the reception, the second day after the wedding, etc.).
  •        Last, but not least, remember that you can make your daytime wedding feel really elegant and formal too. However, keep in mind that a formal daytime attire will never look as glamorous as a formal evening attire (but, as the bride, you are still more than allowed to wear a very stunning wedding dress!).

This Is How You Send Proper Wedding Invitations

Your wedding invitations are more than just pieces of paper. They are the formal introduction into your Big Day – so it is only natural to want everything about them to be perfect. Of course, their design plays a huge role – but maybe even more important than that is the way you send and address the invitations.

How to do it the proper, etiquette-friendly way? We have some tips for you – continue reading if you want to learn more.

  • Address the RSVPs with diplomacy. If you don’t want to invite plus-ones or children, make sure the guests will understand your hint (for instance, address the RSVPs with “Mr. and Mrs. X”, instead of the “X Family”, which would involve the kids too). Remember, even under these circumstances, there may still be guests who will add more people to their RSVPs – so be prepared to make some delicate phone calls.
  • Yes, you can and should invite people who can’t come. Sending them an invitation is a heartfelt way of showing them you care about their presence at your wedding. Plus, an invitation with a link to your wedding website will make it easier for these guests to send a gift if they want to.
  • Online invitations can save you a lot of money and time (not to mention they make the RSVP administration really easy). However, they are not always suitable for the actual wedding (since it will most likely be a bit more formal) – but they can work just fine for the pre-wedding events.

Your Wedding Menu NEEDS to Be Very Well Planned

Planning a Georgia wedding is almost never as easy as 1-2-3 – especially when you want to make sure every single guest will be truly happy with the experience the event offers.

Of course, food is an important element of the aforementioned experience, so you should plan a wedding menu capable of satisfying as many of your guests as possible. Here are some tips to help you do this:

  •       Serve hors d’oeuvres during the cocktail hour. Drinks on an empty stomach were never a good idea – and if you add this to the fact that a bunch of delicious snacks will actually boost everyone’s mood and energy for the big party, you have all the reasons to serve something your guests can munch on at the cocktail hour.
  •       Serve something as a late-night snack too. Your guests will get tired from all the dancing, so why not charge their batteries with a (potentially “sinful”) late-night snack? Doughnuts, Belgian fries, pizza – they can all be included in your wedding and they will definitely bring a smile on your guests’ faces.
  •     Try to accommodate everyone. Satisfying everyone with your wedding menu can be difficult – but it’s worth it. Thus, you should try to find vegetarian, lactose-free and gluten-free options for them as well. For instance, you could create separate menus for them and ask them in their RSVP what they prefer to eat – this way, they will be served with the foods that actually suit their diet.

The Most Original Wedding Dessert Bar Tips

Your wedding deserves to be completely and utterly special. Why wouldn’t it, after all? Your love story itself is a unique one – so your wedding should be one-in-a-million as well.

Serving a dessert bar is a wonderful choice if you want to sweeten up your guests and create a décor element everyone will absolutely love. We know you want to be as original as possible with this, so we’ve gathered some inspiring tips to help you create a truly remarkable wedding dessert bar. Read on to find out more.

  •       Golden cakes. Yes, you read that right – not one, but multiple smaller cakes, all dripped in gold frosting. If that doesn’t look luxurious and beautiful, then what does? Coordinate your golden cakes with sumptuous one-serving desserts and arrange them beautiful on your dessert table. Guests will definitely love it!
  •     Naked cake(s). Again, you can have one or more smaller naked cakes. Decorate your main dessert with powdered sugar, and fresh fruit or flowers. Also, coordinate your naked cake with multiple plates filled with seasonal mini pies. This hearty and cozy dessert table will get everyone’s attention!
  •     Tart cabinet. You definitely don’t have to stick to an actual table when it comes to your dessert bar. An open cabinet decorated with flowers and/or greenery, as well as filled with tart platters – now, that’s something your guests don’t see every day, so they are bound to really like it. Not to mention there’s such a large variety of tarts it’s impossible not to please everyone’s tastes!

The BEST Guestbook Idea for the Big Day

Although guestbooks are definitely not mandatory in modern Georgia weddings, many couples still choose to have them at their Big Day. There’s a very good reason for this: they are cute and they allow you to keep a heartfelt souvenir of your wedding day: the good wishes of all those who chose to celebrate with you.

It is completely understandable if you are tired of the same old-fashioned guestbook, though. But what about a unique and fun one? Here are some tips to help you create the best guestbook for your own Big Day.

  • Think of a main theme for your guestbook, this will add a bit of originality to the traditional guestbook. For example, your guestbook could be centered on date night ideas or fun games to try as a couple. It could also be a bucket list of all the places your guests would love for you to see, or the fun activities they would like you to experience.
  • You really don’t have to stick to a notebook either. Sure, it’s a good idea, especially if you pick a pretty design to go with the wedding colors – but if you want to be really unique, you can turn the old-fashioned guestbook into a piece of décor you’ll actually want to use in your new home.
  • For instance, you could ask guests to write their ideas on leaf-shaped notes and stick them to a framed tree collage. Or, if you plan on having a photo booth at your wedding, you could ask guests to create a collage with the pictures they shoot in the booth.

Millennial Guests Will Love These Things At Your Wedding

Your wedding is a big, special day for you – but it is a happy event for your guests too. Naturally, you want them to have a good time celebrating with you, regardless of how young or not-so-young they may be.

How do you make a Millennial crowd happy at a wedding, though? Well, research shows Millennials love seeing a few things at weddings – some of which are included in the list below. Read on and find out more!

  •        Good food. Who doesn’t love good food? You don’t have to be born in the 80s or 90s to love a good meal – but what makes Millennials a bit more special than their parents is the fact that they don’t care too much about the price tag of a wedding menu. Anything ranging from a fancy brunch to a table full of burgers, mac’n’cheese and pizza will do – as long as they’re fresh, well-cooked, and have a unique twist to them, of course.
  •        Quality entertainment. Millennials would much rather spend time with good music on the dance floor, rather than in a very luxurious ballroom. So, if you want something to really splurge on, focus on your wedding entertainment. The DJ, band, photo booth – they should be top-notch.
  • ·      A really romantic location. Again, it doesn’t have to be the Eiffel Tour – but your ceremony location should offer people a truly fairytale-like vibe. A garden, backyard, or even an old loft space can be gorgeously transformed if you focus on the right décor details – so don’t be afraid to let your imagination roam wild!

The Best Tips for Your Groom’s Look

We know choosing the perfect wedding gown is ultra-important for you – but so is your groom’s attire for him. How to help him choose a suit or tuxedo that’s truly right for him and the event? We have gathered some tips for you – so read on and find out more.

  •        Formality. Your wedding’s level of formality will dictate one of the first and foremost important groom’s attire tuxedoes: whether or not he can wear a casual suit. Decide what your dress code will be and stick to it!
  •        Color. In general, the groom’s attire is coordinated with the wedding colors and with the groomsmen’s attires. This is not an absolute rule, but it’s something you might want to follow if you want your wedding pictures to look great.
  •        Fit. Those boring tuxedo fitting appointments? They’re as important for your groom as your dress fitting appointments are for you. Your groom’s suit or tuxedo should look perfect on his body – and this means it should be the perfect size too. Nothing too large, nothing too tight, nothing too odd-shaped – just clean lines, a nice design, and quality fabrics.
  •       Style. Your groom deserves to incorporate his own personality into the mix – so don’t be afraid to encourage him to wear accessories. Even a simple wristwatch can instantly change a simple black suit – not to mention fun-colored bow-ties or socks, which will look absolutely wonderful in a unique photo shoot!

Searching for someone to help you with the wedding planning, so that you can focus on the details that matter? Want to plan your Big Day, the stress-free way? What Do You Do With Last Minute Guests?

RSVPs have a very clearly defined role – but sometimes, it doesn’t even matter how much you plan for the perfect wedding day and it doesn’t even matter how easy you make it for guests to send back their RSVPs. Surprise guests are almost bound to happen, and you should be prepared to handle them gracefully.

What do you do when a last minute guest confirms their presence at your wedding? Here are the most essential tips to know:

  •        First and foremost, you announce your coordinator or Maid of Honor. By this moment, they should already have a list of confirmed wedding guests and the seats they are assigned to – so they can easily find a bit of extra room at a table. If an unexpected guest shows up on the actual wedding day, it is important that your Maid of Honor has this list with her, so that she can smoothly handle the situation.
  •        However, if the unexpected guest announces their attendance a few days before the wedding, you should make sure they are provided with an escort card, just like everyone else. Ideally, you should order a few blank ones when you order your day-of stationery. This way, even unannounced guests will have a theme-coordinated escort card to help them navigate the seating chart.
  •       Last, but definitely not least, remember not to let this ruin the wedding day for you. This is a unique moment in your life and you deserve to be fully happy – so take things as they are, season them with a big smile, and enjoy your Big Day!

Use Your Wedding Gown After the Big Day

You may think your wedding dress will lose its meaningfulness or at least its usefulness after the wedding day – but truth be told, just because the wedding is over, it doesn’t mean you have to simply leave your wedding dress aside and never see it again.

On the contrary, most brides find creative and innovative solutions on what to do with their wedding gowns after the Big Day. Here are some examples of what you can do too:

  •         Have one of those spectacular Trash the Dress photo shoots. The pictures that come out of this type of photo shooting are actually breathtaking – and they will definitely add a dash of color and uniqueness to your entire wedding album.
  •        Sell it to someone who wants to wear a designer dress, but cannot afford the full price. Yes, there are a lot of places where you can sell a slightly used wedding dress – and yes, there are a lot of potential clients to reach out to as well.
  •      Donate it to someone who cannot afford a wedding dress at all. Can you imagine how happy that person will be and how grateful they will be for your beautiful gesture?
  •        Recycle it into something to use around the house. You can transform your wedding dress into a christening gown, or even into a quilt you will pass down from generation to generation. Just imagine how amazing you will feel every time you look at this creation and how many gorgeous memories it will bring back!

Your Mom Deserves to Be Included in The Big Day

Your mother is one of the most important people in the world. She is the one who gave you life and took care of you. She is the one thanks to whom you will be there, radiantly walking down the aisle on the Big Day. Of course she deserves to play a very special role in the wedding!

Not sure how to make your mom feel super-special on your wedding day? Here are some ideas you will both love:

·        Play a song dear to her. It may be the song she walked down the aisle on her own wedding day, or a song she used to sing to you when you were little. You can use it for the processional, for the First Dance, or even for a special dance with your mom. It will add so much sentimentalism and beauty to an already magnificent day!
·        Serve her cooking. Of course, your mom doesn’t have to play the caterer for 200 people – but if she has a special recipe, why not bring her into the spotlight with the amazing cookies, muffins, or brownies she bakes? These will taste better than anything in the whole wide world!
·        Organize a special photo shooting with your mom and grandma. Three generations in one picture – now, that’s something anyone would be touched by! There are so many ways to build these photos, so don’t be afraid to be a little creative with this!

Wedding favors are not a must these days, but they are surely a very nice way of making your guests happy and showing them your gratitude. We have some suggestions for you – so read on and find out more.

·        Personalized notebooks. Vendor Negotiation Tips All Brides Should Know

Wedding planning is an incredibly complex activity – and good negotiation skills are absolutely crucial when you want to get the most for your money. How do you actually negotiate with all of your vendor specialists, though? What are the essentials to keep in mind?

We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.

  •        A smile can go a long way. OK, you might be irritated by the fact that your vendors cannot drop the price. And you might feel the negotiation is going downhill. Even so, that’s no reason to be rude. Be polite and genuinely interested to have a proper conversation with your prospective wedding experts.
  •        Knowledge makes the difference. Knowing what some vendors can offer, what you need, and what is the market price for a service – now, that’s real power. If you add this to not showing your vendors you really want them (and not anyone else) to handle your wedding, you are guaranteed to gain the upper hand in the negotiation process.
  •        Keep in mind, not all vendors will be able to actually drop the prices – but, when asked nicely, they might be able to throw in precious extras both you and your guests will definitely appreciate. Don’t be afraid to ask!
  •       Last, but definitely not least, keep your optimism. Discuss with your vendors and be open to their suggestions. These people want to actually help you have a dream wedding, so they really deserve all of your attention and politeness!

Looking for a wedding planner who can help with vendor search and negotiation? Contact B.A. Bride Wedding and Event Planning – you will never regret having hired us to help you plan the most fabulous, the most unique, and the most memorable day of your life!

Move Beyond Dress Code Confusion

Dress codes can be quite the tricky matter, especially if you have never dealt with them “up-close”. How do you decipher them and how to establish the right one for your wedding? We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.

  •    Black Tie. Contrary to the popular belief, this is not the most elegant wedding dress code (White Tie is even more formal, for example). It involves men wearing tuxedoes in simple colors and women wearing long dresses (which are actually allowed to show a bit of skin, such as through a slit skirt, for example).
  •    Dressy Casual. If you plan on having a semi-formal wedding, this is the dress code to embrace. It allows people to dress nicely and combine the cocktail attire with a more formal touch of elegance, but it also offers plenty of creative freedom when it comes to the attires.
  •    Festive. If someone sees the “Festive” dress code on a wedding invitation, this means they can be really creative with the attire. For instance, a sparkly jumper and a pretty envelope bag will look absolutely amazing together!
  •  Beach Formal. You may be tempted to believe this means you are supposed to wear a tuxedo on the beach, but it’s not necessarily true. Men are expected to wear light fabric suits, while ladies can wear any type of elegant flowing dress that’s suitable for the beach.

Have You Insured Your Engagement Ring?

You may not think engagement ring insurance is important – but, in fact, this is one of the very first things you should do after the big “Yes”. After all, this piece of jewelry bears a huge significance for you and your loved one and you want to take care of it for the decades to come.

Why is insurance so important and what is there to know about getting an engagement ring insurance policy? Read on and find out more.

  •        Believe it or not, a well-built insurance policy can save you from a lot of trouble. Theft, damage, accidents, and even complete loss can be covered by an engagement ring insurance policy. This will give you peace of mind, knowing your precious engagement ring is properly covered for the many years of love ahead of you.
  •         If you want to purchase an engagement ring policy, make sure to have your ring appraised by a professional. This is how your insurance company will know the true value of the ring (and thus, this is how they will determine the price of your insurance policy – about $1-$2 for each $100 of the ring’s worth).
  •      When to get the insurance policy for your engagement ring? Well, our advice is to get it as soon as possible – maybe even before you announce everyone on Facebook that you got engaged. This is more than just a piece of jewelry for you and your significant other, so it is perfectly normal to want to take proper care of it.

Top Tips to Choose a Wedding Date

As wedding planners, we know your wedding date is hugely important for the entire wedding planning process. But how do you actually set the date? How do you do it in a way that will positively impact everything else?

  • We have some tips for you – read on, find out more, and start planning the wedding of your dreams.
  • Season, location, and even day of the week – they all matter, especially from a financial point of view, but from that of the weather as well. If you want to save money, try to have your wedding in off-season, at a location that’s not highly touristic, and during the week (or on Sunday).
  • Your friends’ weddings should also have an influence, especially if there are a lot of guests who will have to attend both weddings. Try to allow a gap between the weddings, so that everyone can attend all of the weddings.
  •  In general, it is highly recommended that you don’t plan your wedding on a holiday. Not only will it be more expensive, but it is quite likely that many of your guests will not be able to attend it because they have other plans.
  • Last, but surely not least, make this a special date. Try to set your wedding around the date you met the first time, or even around the engagement date. Doing this will add a lot of sentimentalism to the entire Big Day, making it even more magical.

Plan the Perfect Rehearsal Dinner

Your rehearsal dinner is much more important than you might give it credit for. Not only is this the right time to set all things clear for all of those VIPs participating in your wedding, but it is the perfect time to help the entire wedding party bond with each other and create some “exclusive” memories all of your rehearsal dinner guests will cherish for the years to come.

How to plan the perfect rehearsal dinner? Here are some tips to help you with this.

  •        Serve a good meal – preferably, a family-style meal. If you didn’t get the chance to do this with your wedding day, the rehearsal is the perfect time to go casual and simply have a great time with your close friends and relatives. A family-style dinner is the perfect way to achieve that cozy, welcoming vibe!
  •        Don’t dismiss the idea of having a special theme. You don’t have to go over the top with the flowers and the party motifs – but a well-set theme can help you pull everything together from an aesthetic point of view. Even if it’s just a basic color scheme, it will still work like wonders!
  •        Create a special dress code. Go casual with the dress code too – invite guests to follow simple rules and have fun with their attires. Do the same yourself as well! And yes, you can definitely wear white (but it is not absolutely compulsory, of course!).
  •        Record the toasts. You will definitely want to record the toasts given during the wedding – but why not do the same for the rehearsal too? All those jokes and micro-accidents will look lovely on tape when pulled together with the actual Big Day toasts!

We think you should do whatever makes you happy at your wedding – and yes, this includes a chocolate wedding cake too. Here are some marvelous ideas to inspire you:

  •        A decadent classic chocolate wedding cake. Chocolate cake, chocolate frosting, and maybe a few red fruits – there’s nothing more delicious, more classic, and more universally appreciated than that. Add a cute cake topper to make it more personal and your guests will be bewitched!

Wedding Etiquette Tips You NEED to Know

Wedding etiquette can be an intriguing and complex topic – especially when there’s a lot of advice, coming from a lot of places. Of course, weddings today are not as restrictive as they used to be and there are a lot of customs you can simply choose to skip – such as the white wedding dress, the receiving line, or even the seated dinner.

Yet, there are still some wedding etiquette rules that need to be followed when you want to make sure nobody will feel offended. Here are some of them:

  • If you are planning a destination wedding, pay for your bridesmaids’ and groomsmen’s accommodation for the night before the wedding (especially if you want to spend the morning of the wedding with them).
  • It is a well-known fact that you shouldn’t add any kind of registry-related information to your wedding invitations. It is perfectly fine to add it to your wedding websites and to have your close friends and family spread the word, though.
  • Also, it is very important to make sure you include gift options that are suitable for multiple types of budgets and styles. Everyone invited at your wedding wants to offer you something you enjoy, regardless of how much they can afford spending on it!
  • In general, the bridal shower and the bachelorette party are planned by the Maid of Honor and/or other close friends or relatives. However, they shouldn’t plan these events sooner or later than 1-3 months before the Big Day!

Top Attire Tips for Wedding Guests

You may definitely not want to feel like the most important person in the room when attending a wedding – but from this to feeling underdressed (or even overdressed), there is a very long way. How to make sure you dress properly to the weddings you’ve been invited to this summer? We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.

  •        Read the invitation – it will almost always contain information about a dress code. Because the invitation space is limited, you may not get very specific rules from reading this – but you might find them on the couple’s wedding website, or by simply researching what a specific dress code means.
  •        For instance, “casual attire” means that you can leave the tuxedo (and even suit) home and dress in something a bit more relaxed – such as dress pants and a shirt, or a nice low-key elegant dress. However, it DOES NOT mean that you are allowed to come to the wedding wearing jeans (unless the couple specifies this as part of their wedding theme).
  •        Furthermore, no matter what dress code you have to follow, make sure your clothes are tasteful and nice. You don’t need to dress expensive – but keeping it low-toned, not flashy, and not overly provocative can go a long way. The bride and the groom are the stars of the show – you surely don’t want to steal their spotlight with a dress that’s too flashy or a tuxedo in very bright colors, do you?

Are the bride and groom on the lookout for a talented and devoted wedding planner? Tell them about B.A. Wedding and Event Planning – we have a lot of experience in planning ideal wedding days, so your friends will not be disappointed by our services in any way!
